The trade mission of Central American coffee purchases in 2015

In order to further promote trade and investment between the Republic of China (Taiwan) and Central America, Central America Trade Office (CATO) organized a trade mission of coffee purchases to Central America, chaired by the Executive Director Ambassador Ingrid Y.W. Hsing, whose main purposes were:
• Attend coffee importers from Taiwan to explore trade opportunities between the Republic of China (Taiwan) and the 5 allied Central American countries.
• To consolidate the strategic partnership between the Republic of China (Taiwan) and the Coffee Industry in Central America in search of both the increase in trade of Central American coffee and the feasibility of mutual investment towards mutual benefits.
• Introduce the coffee industry in Taiwan and present possible cooperation in technical processing, packaging and marketing to increase the added value of products.
The mission visited five Central American countries, which were: Guatemala, El Salvador, Honduras, Nicaragua and Panama, with dates ranging from 8 to March 26, 2015.
