Try Central American Coffee at Taiwan Tea, Coffee & Wine Expo 2011

2011-11-16

The Taiwan Tea, Coffee & Wine Expo 2011 will take place from November 25 through 28 at TWTC Exhibition Hall 1. A highlight of the show is a pavilion dedicated to Central American Coffee by the Central American Trade Office (CATO) in association with five major coffee-producing countries in the region: El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, Nicaragua and Panama. Featuring leading coffee providers in Central America besides exporters of a century-old estate coffee brand, the pavilion is expected to encourage partnership between local manufacturers/processors and Central America’s competitive raw-material providers, and eventually market the Taiwanese coffee worldwide.

In Central America, a major coffer-producing region, Guatemala and Honduras are listed among the world’s top 10 coffee exporting countries. Taiwan registered a surge in high-quality coffee imported from Central America as the country’s coffee consumption grows in recent years. While free samples of Central American Coffee are offered in this year’s show by Taiwanese importers, prospective local distributors will be treated to fresh-brewed flagship varieties by Central American exhibitors.
