Ambassador Ingrid Y.W. Hsing (Director of the Central America Trade Office (CATO) and the Delegation arrived at Honduras at 9 pm on September 25 local time. Instituto Hondureño de Turismo carefully arranged all activities in the trip and sponsored meals, accommodation and local transportation.

The Delegation visited tourist attractions in Copán, including Finca Cafetalera Santa Isabel and Copán Ruinas, on September 26 local time. Instituto Hondureño de Turismo also arranged a meeting with Copán Tourism Association and representatives of hotel industry in the evening on the same day. The delegates raised many questions regarding local itinerary, ecological attractions, festivals and arrangement of tour guides, and received detailed answers. Teng-Hsien Chu said that, with the biodiversity, Honduras is like a unique virgin land to Taiwanese, and this is a big attraction for Taiwanese. He hoped that such information will be widely spread by this trip to enhance the number of people traveling to Honduras.

On behalf of the Delegation, Ambassador Ingrid Y.W. Hsing thanked Instituto Hondureño de Turismo and Copán Tourism Association for all arrangements. This trip has left the delegates with unforgettable memories. The Ambassador also hoped that Instituto Hondureño de Turismo can participate in the International Tourism Fair in Taiwan to promote Honduras’ magnificent scenery, culture and food.
