According to statistics from the Guatemalan Tourism Bureau, in 2009, 776,868 visitors visited Guatemala, generating the revenue of 1,298 million US dollars, compared with 2008, there was a growth of 3,85% and 1,8% respectively. In January to April 2010, 653,218 tourists came to Guatemala, an increase of 7,5% compared to the same period in 2009, which generated an income of 480,7 million, 13,4% growth compared with the same period last year.
