Countries in the EU are the main export receivers of Honduran coffee, in January and February 2010, the exports have amounted to 170 million U.S. dollars, representing a growth of 47.7% compared to 2009. Analyzing from 1.7 billion U.S. dollars in coffee exports, 75% went to the EU, thus reaching 120 million U.S. dollars. In the meantime, coffee exported to the U.S. market is only 11 million U.S. dollars, accounting for 9% of all exports to the United States.
