Electric charges of El Salvador rose to 18% from April 12

Héctor Dada, Minister of Economic Affairs of El Salvador explained that beginning from April 12 electric charge of El Salvador rose 18%, but the government would absorb that difference by itself for users with consumptions less than 300KW/h. Therefore, 70% of users would not feel the rise of electric charge. According to data of the electric power company of El Salvador, electric charge subsidies of El Salvador can benefit 1.2 million users. Subsidies to electric charges of El Salvador government will reach 1.8 million US dollars in the coming six moths.
