The winners of this year’s Taiwan Excellence awards were unveiled April 22 by Taiwan External Trade Development Council (TAITRA), with 28 homegrown brands honored for technological innovation.

“Our competition attracted 1,155 entries from 448 local companies. And of these, 459 products by 215 firms won the right to use the Taiwan Excellence trademark,” TAITRA Chairman Francis Liang said. “We confer this prestigious seal of approval on the strength of five main criteria: design, local manufacturing, marketing, quality and R&D.”

According to Liang, the gold and silver winners are hallmarks of innovative design, uncompromising quality and user experience. “Spanning various products, they offer a snapshot of the diversified industries making up Taiwan’s industrial landscape,” he said.

The 10 gold winners and their submissions are Adata Technology Co. Ltd., DDR4 DRAM module; Advantech Co.
