MOFA launches promotional video wall

2015-02-24

A video wall was inaugurated Feb. 16 by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Taipei City, underscoring the MOFA’s commitment to better promoting its policies and diplomatic achievements.

“It is crucial to bolster awareness of the ministry’s position on key issues and accomplishments,” MOFA Vice Minister Vanessa Shih said at the launch ceremony. “This wall bears testament to our rock-solid determination in this regard.”

Installed at the ministry’s Institute of Diplomacy and International Affairs in Daan District, the smart film projection screen plays a variety of promotional clips sourced from MOFA headquarters and the overseas offices.

“Taiwan’s role as a provider of humanitarian aid is regularly spotlighted,” Shih said, adding that these ongoing contributions in such areas as charity and disease prevention deserve greater promotion and recognition.

Other videos set to feature on the playlist include the 2013 working holiday program agreement with Belgium and Travel Emergency Guidance, a 2012 location-based app providing easy access to travel-related information like destination weather and travel alerts.

“The MOFA will continue working to establish new policy communication platforms and implement an array of interactive measures,” Shih said.
