Honduras Doubled its Coffee Exports

Honduras is entering autumn and winter, important coffee harvest seasons. The coffee production since November 2011 to date is abundant. The export volume jumped. According to the Honduran Coffee Association (IHCAFE), the coffee export volume in the last two months has reached 250,000 bags (Quintals), an increase of more than double the previous volume. The year-to-date coffee export volume has reached 400,000 bags, and the foreign exchanged earned by the exports increased by approximately US$90 million. With the international coffee prices remaining high, coffee farmers in Honduras are enjoying a fruitful year.
