The Expo Taiwan 2011 in Belize

In an attempt to improve diplomatic and economic ties between Taiwan and Belize, and also to explore business opportunities in Belize and its neighboring Central American countries for Taiwanese firms, the Taiwan External Trade Development Council (TAITRA) organized Expo Taiwan 2011 on behalf of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. As one of the events that mark R.O.C. centenary, the expo will take place during October 7-11, 2011 at Best Western Hotel in Belize City, with the opening ceremony launched on the evening of October 7 along with a National Day Party. In the 500-㎡ exhibition area of Expo Taiwan 2011, Taiwan’s competitive products will be displayed in three sections, dedicated respectively to “items for sale”, “exhibitors’ catalogs” and “consultancy services for business opportunities”. Also at the venue, the Taiwan Technical Mission (TTM) in Belize will demonstrate results and technologies of such projects as horticulture, rice cultivation, food processing, and IT & telecom development.
