Kinmen County Government tops Taiwan Tourist Shuttle honors

Kinmen County Government is winner of top Taiwan Tourist Shuttle honors, according to the Tourism Bureau under the Ministry of Transportation and Communications Dec. 20.
 
 KCG outperformed in core service areas of management, staff and transportation, as well as successfully incorporated the main attractions of battlefield and southern Fujian culture into its shuttle service, the bureau said. This approach underscores the deep-seated commitment of the local government to strengthening every aspect of the outlying area’s tourism industry, the bureau added.
 
 Bureau Deputy Director Chou Ting-chang said TTS plays a key role in creating seamless travel experiences for visitors from home and abroad. The government will spare no effort in continuing to boost Taiwan’s appeal as a world-class destination through promoting the implementation of multilingual services and sustainable tourism practices, he added.
 
 TTS connects tourism sites to bus, rail and high-speed rail networks around Taiwan. Its 49 routes operated by 28 public sector entities handled 4.66 million riders last year.
