Honduras Has Become the Largest Coffee Exporter in Central America

According to the International Coffee Organization’s data, Honduras is the largest coffee exporter in Central America. From October 2010 through June 2011, Honduras’s total coffee exports amounted to 3.58 million bags, an increase of 25%, compared to the same period of the previous year. Other performances of the coffee export countries in Central America are: Guatemala, an increase of 2.99%; El Salvador, an increase of 61%; Nicaragua, a decrease of 6.17%, Dominican Republic, an increase of 98.99%.
