The industrial development in Nicaragua lags behind other countries. Other than the basic food products, any products that cover daily necessities, such as various kinds of manufactured goods, transportation vehicles, manufacturing machinery and equipment, components, raw materials, business machinery, medical equipment and information equipment, all depend on imports. Because the cheap products from Mainland China have become the mainstream in the Nicaraguan consumer market, Taiwan can take advantage of the niche markets of the intermediate goods and capital goods, expanding sales in quality agriculture, carpentry, metal, rubber and plastics, food processing and packaging machinery, security and POS related equipment, automobile parts and accessories, medical equipment and reagents, ICT products, refrigeration engineering, LED lighting, solar power modules, and uninterruptible power systems. These quality products best meet the demands of Nicaraguan and Central American markets, and are worthy of Taiwanese vendors to actively expand their sales.
