Belize is Electronic with ICT Center Wireless Internet

The Information Communications Technology Center, located in the capital, Belmopan, donated by the Taiwanese government, and completed in August last year, began functioning and contributing to the Belize E-Government and to information technology talent training. After the establishment of the ICT Center, the next phase target for the Taiwanese government is to utilize Taiwan’s information and communications capabilities to help build a wireless internet for the Belize government and a VoIP communications system, providing wireless internet and telephone services between various government buildings in Belmopan, by using ICT as the platform. In addition to enhancing the communication effectiveness between each department within the Belize government, more importantly, it reduces a great deal of its communication costs.
