Taiwan innovations on show at the event include an infrared light emitter and detector, 360 degree image stitching and facial recognition technology, and a solar-powered quadcopter from NTU.
Also on display are a smart tag system and industrial testing software from NCU; virtual reality tech for detecting flaws in leather materials developed at FCU; a NCKU solution for au tomatic quality control dubbed Industry 4.1; and three NFU-devised systems for boosting production efficiency: Laser R-Test, Smart Machine Engine and Tangram.
The research teams also visited the Fraunhofer Institute for Surface Engineering and Thin Films IST in Braunschweig April 1 with the goal of expanding Taiwan-Germany exchanges on industrial technology development.
