Guatemalan Agricultural Show Expects to Garner US$250 million Trade Deal

Vice President of the Guatemalan Exporter Association, Mr. Jorge Méndez, said that the Guatemalan Agricultural Show, held by the Guatemalan exporter Association (Asociación Guatemalteca de Exportadores - Agexport), of which 70% is comprised of agricultural products, and the rest being packaging and logistic services, is expected to generate sales revenues reaching US$250million. The executive president said that during the exhibit, new agricultural products, such as taro, rambutan, mango, papaya and pineapple, would be introduced. The purpose of this agricultural show is to look for a diverse program that will supply the entire U. S. agricultural market.
