Booming construction industry in Panama amidst flourishing tourism and public projects

Thanks to the solid foundation, the entire construction industry in Panama is believed to gain added momentum in the current year, through the flourishing performances in the aspects including infrastructures, tourism construction, commercial facilities, public housing, the construction projects underway and the mid-sized construction projects which are about to being. As officially pointed out by Panamanian Construction Association (known as CAPAC), in 2011, the construction industry will growth by 12% and will benefit up to 8.6% to the GDP in a conservative anticipation. The total amount invested in the construction industry will amount to the minimum of US$2 billion, in comparison with US$1.65 billion invested in 2010.
