Nicaraguan textile industry urges the government to ink Textile Pact with Spain

President Dean Garcia of The Textile & Garment Association of Nicaragua pointed out that to help Nicaragua garment industry boost export, they would urge the Nicaraguan government to sign Textile Pact with Spain. After such Textile Pact is signed, it will win up to US$30 million worth purchase orders for Nicaragua. At the moment, the Processing Exporting Zone of Nicaragua (known as CNZF) is talking and studying with Cataluna Knitwear Association of Spain about details. In the future, the Pact would be consolidated into Central America and European Union (EU) pact frameworks. Through such efforts, they will win technological cooperation to upgrade the garment industry and preferential tariff terms in Spain.
