Central American Tourism Exploration Delegation – Guatemala

The Delegation arrived at Guatemala in the evening of September 28. Oficina del Consejero Económico de la Embajada de la República de China (Taiwán) en Guatemala and Rony Nolasco, the person in charge of Maya Sky, greeted and picked up the delegates from the airport. The delegates met with 13 local tour operators to understand the trip planning in Guatemala on the following day thanks to the arrangement of AGEXPORT. Mr. Chien-Chung Lai, the Ambassador of Embajada de la República de China (Taiwán) en Guatemala welcomed the delegates with a special luncheon. In the afternoon, Maya Sky took the delegates to visit Filadelfia Estate in Antigua for a guided tour focusing on the coffee bean growth and production process. The delegates wandered in Antigua in the evening to experience local custom, visited a medieval style hotel, and ended the Antigua tour with a romantic candlelight dinner. 

The delegates visited Lago de Atitlán on September 30 and explored the weaving culture and enjoyed authentic cuisine in the surrounding Mayan tribe surrounded by the beautiful lake and mountains. The delegates were profuse in praise. In the evening, Nolasco took the delegates to Cacao, the most famous local restaurant, to enjoy the local cuisine. It was a taste of Guatemala’s diversity.
