Taiwan and Panama to Strengthen Cooperation and Exchanges in the Free Trade Zone

The first Free Trade Agreement (FTA) that Taiwan signed with a foreign country is the Taiwan-Panama FTA, this is an indication of the close economic trade relationship between Taiwan and Panama. Mr. Leopoldo Benedetti, CEO of Colon Free Zone, together with his wife, visited Taiwan on November 18, 2010. They also stopped at the Taiwan External Trade Development Council to better understand Taiwan’s economic establishment and development in recent years, and to promote the business cooperation and exchange of the two countries in the free trade zone and the export processing zone.
