Taiwan-Panama Bilateral Trade in Gradual Improvement

Based on the Statistics from the Department of Audit of Panama, the bilateral trade between Panama and Taiwan during the first half of 2010, from January to June, amounted to US$39,449,118, an increase of 37.89 percent over the same period last year. The statistic does not include the Colon Free Zone. It includes US$18,561,905 in Panama exports to Taiwan (the growth of 81.76 percent), and US$20,887,213 in Panama imports from Taiwan (the growth of 13.53%). Panama’s trade with Taiwan, in the first half of this year, was in deficit by US$2,325,308 (71.59% decline).
