TMM in Belize launches promotional campaign for papaya processing

To boost papaya export for the small farmers in Belize, the Taiwan Technical Mission (TTM) to Belize launches a promotional campaign for papaya processing, hoping to expand small-farmer participation with enhanced publicity for the fruit. At the pioneer papaya plantation in Belize, TTM holds a field demonstration attended by farmers and agricultural zone promoters from Corozal and Orange (both in northern Belize), representatives of farmers, officials from the Ministry of Agriculture & Fisheries, and representative of international organizations. Through the demonstration, TTM displays the results of its horticultural-crops promotional efforts as well as the approach to business management on an export-oriented papaya plantation.
