Promotional activity for Guatemala's Maya culture

Guatemalan Embassy in the Republic of China and Welcome to Taipei International Club co-organized a promotional activity for Guatemala’s Maya culture on March 30 at the Foreign Service Institute of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. The activity began with a presentation of Mayan civilization --- Guatemala’s most important cultural heritage --- by Guatemalan Ambassador to the R.O.C., Amb. Iván Espinoza Farfán, to the Club’s members and the teachers and students of the Foreign Service Institute. This was followed by a videotape of Guatemala’s tourism bureau, which offered the more than 120 people present a unique chance to experience an exciting visual voyage through this rich and diversified culture. After the film, the Welcome to Taipei Club’s members exchanged ideas with the Ambassador to the R.O.C. High-quality Guatemalan coffee and refined food pampered the palate of all the participants, who could browse through various items of exquisite Guatemalan handicraft and traditional apparel, experiencing an intimate contact with traditional Guatemalan culture.
