Central American organic products to be exhibited during The 5th Taipei International Vegetarian & Organic Food Festival 2009

With the global LOHAS fever in recent years as organic industry and consumer demand have kept growing rapidly, it prompts each nation to be committed to developing organic agriculture. Situated in the center of America, Central America enjoys the traditional advantage of resources and geography to build up the nations on the foundation of agriculture, one of main resources for organic product market. Assisted by Central America Trade Office (CATO), organic products listed below from six Central American countries are to be exhibited: tropic fruits, coffee, sesame, noni, flaxseed oil, seasoning and nuts, etc. To operate in coordination with the establishment of Honduras Pavilion and the delegation visit of Honduras’ organic industry to Taiwan, CATO has organized business exhibition and held theme lectures on “International Symposium on Central American Organic Industries” to publish international exchange experiences and have exchanges with Taiwan-based import and export traders.
