“Intersection Image of Asia-America” of Panama Arts Exhibition features 20-more creative works by three generations of Panamanian artists including Manuel Chong Neto, Ricaurte Martínez, and Eduardo Navarro. Despite the fact that Central American art creations are generally classified under Latin American arts, the artistic creations are in distinctively styles and diversity. The visitors will have access to the panorama of contemporary Panamanian arts from this exhibition, and will further gain an understanding of how these artists will make the corresponding they will be placed in the nature and economic and social status demonstrated in their creations. Profile of Artists
Manuel Chong Neto
As a revered artist with Chinese descent, 80 year-old Neto’s works feature human body as the creative subject that most of the leading roles in his works are robust and sexy women, taking Latin American women with passion and spirit to balance the image of modern slim women.
Ricaurte Martínez
Martínez’s artistic expression is characterized with the diversified styles as his works featuring rich tropical plants as the creative subject will be exhibited. Martínez presents the flowers and plants in the great nature in his creative works with room effect, thus showing the similarity between the natural traditional method presented by Taiwan artists and the delicate painting by Latin American artists excelling at.
Eduardo Navarro
As a young artist, most of Navarro’s paintings feature horse with posture of vigor as the creative subject. As horse is a symbol of diligence and enterprising spirit recognized by the Oriental world, his creative works are quite popular in Japan and Shanghai.
