2008-11-01

In an attempt to promote the ties between Guatemala and the Republic of China, especially in substantial economic and trading ties, the Guatemala President Álvaro Colóm and Economic Minister Rómulo Caballeros led an Economic & Trading Mission to visit Taiwan and to participate in the October national day celebrations in Taiwan.  Where here, they host the “Presentation on Investment in Guatemala” at Grand Hotel on October 8.  In the event, the Guatemala President Álvaro Colóm and Economic Minister Rómulo Caballeros offer handy guide to interested Taiwanese investors about the investment climate and potential in Guatemala.  The Embassy of Guatemala to the Republic of China and Central America Trade Office play a pivotal role in help sponsor the “Presentation on Investment in Guatemala” and, in addition, arrange the Guatemalan Economic & Trading Mission to hold business talks and interviews with right counterparts in Taipei, Kaohsiung and Taichung during the 12-day stay from October 6 to 17, for the face-to-face rendezvous with local Taiwanese entrepreneurs about agency and distributorship to boost the trade between Taiwan and Guatemala and further into strategic alliance between the two countries.
