2007 Taiwan-Central America Tourism Forum

2007-11-30

The first-ever tourism forum in Taiwan focused on Central America took place Nov. 21 with the participation of representatives from tourism bureaus of six Central American countries as well as guest speakers from regional tourism and education associations who addressed the issues of traveling and studying in Central America.

According to Taiwan-based CommonWealth Magazine’s 2007 special issue on education, Latin America was among the top preferred destinations of people aged 15 to 24 for studying and traveling abroad. Latin America’s dynamic, confident, and optimistic spirit is exactly what today’s young people are looking for.

In view of the current trend of globalization, the Taiwan-Central America Tourism Forum invited experts and scholars from Taiwan’s Central American diplomatic allies to discuss study opportunities in Central America and encourage youngsters in Taiwan to go to Central America and benefit from the unique and life-changing experience.
